He/Him, 30-something, software developer located in the GTA. I’m an avid music-listener, and am (slowly) working on growing my album collection. I enjoy camping, woodworking (when living in a location that allows for it) and occasionally playing the odd video game.
Since December 2017 I’ve been working at Wealthsimple. Initially I was part of the engineering team supporting the early expansion into the UK market. I then moved into working on the money movement flows - the processes of moving funds and assets into, out of and within the Wealthsimple ecosystem. During this time I dabbled as a Development Manager for a year, managing a team of up to 8 engineers before moving back into an individual contributor role.
Previous to this I was at IBM where I worked in a variety of roles from providing technical support for WebSphere Commerce (now HCL Commerce), to consulting for the on-premise offering of IBM Cloudant and eventually acting as a lead of a small team of full-stack developers working on creating a “DevOps” dashboard for internal usage for IBM Cloud’s Gen 2 VPC offering.
